Yesterday, Chris and Kris celebrated their One Year Anniversary.
Our first real anniversary. Until now, we've only celebrated monthly "mensiversaries." (Chris says, "A pox on the bastards who keep using 'anniversary' to refer to monthly commemorations!")
He's just kidding. Sort of.
Yesterday, we went to the Chinatown New Years celebrations (a belated Gung Hay Fat Choy to you all...)

We also went to the Sun Yat-Sen Garden, the only authentic Chinese Garden outside of China.

We went to a store ("The best store" - Chris) down on Pender called Bamboo Village, where we purchased a kick-ass version of the Chinese game, Wei-Chi, aka Go. But perhaps the more interesting part of our shop was the attire of the owners - fully dressed in Mao PLA gear. Kris almost bought a Mao handbag. And hat. And red book.
And we tried to go snowshoeing, but, alas, to no avail. We settled for All-You-Can-Eat Sushi at Sushi Tanpopo in English Bay.
Stuffed and delighted, we returned home to watch our beloved Huckabees. |
